“We have some decent rainfall forecast this week but the weather looks set to clear by Saturday, making for excellent frogging conditions in the wetland on Saturday night. We are looking forward to hosting everyone and we anticipate seeing creatures such as the Bubbling Kassina, Tinker Reed Frog, Painted Reed Frog, Water Alily Frog, Greater Leaf Folding Frog, Guttural Toad, Snoring Puddle Frog, Natal Sand Frog, bats, water snakes, fireflies and more.”

commented Martin Rodrigues, General Manager: Crocworld Conservation Centre.

The frogging evening, which will be hosted in collaboration with Nick Evans of KwaZulu-Natal Amphibian & Reptile Conservation, will take place in a nearby wetland with participants given the opportunity to view a number of local frog species, as well as other nocturnal mammals and birdlife, all in their natural environment. The evening will start with a talk followed by the nature walk led by Evans.
