Former Jeppe pupil, actress, radio presenter and philathropist, Carolyn Steyn is delighted to hand over a cheque for one million rand to Jeppe High School for Girls, towards the major infrastructural developments that are planned for the school.

“I am pleased to be able to contribute towards the growth of the school”,

said Ms Steyn.

“I know how much Jeppe Girls’ High shaped my development as a young lady, and I am proud to see that the school continues to be a benchmark of excellence in education.”

"We love having our Alumnae visit the school and we love it even more when they get involved in the school”,

replied Jeppe Girls’ headmistress, Dina Gonçalves.

“We are delighted to receive this very generous donation from Ms Steyn for our Centenary year and intend to put it towards building a Performing Arts Centre for the school. As Ms Steyn's roots are in the performing arts, we know she will be pleased.”

The Performing Arts Centre will be used for drama, orchestra and choir practises and performances.

“Thank you Ms Steyn. You are a true Jeppe Girl!”,
