Heyns has had a flourishing career as a singer, where she has played various roles in well known Musicals, appeared in several television adverts, she was the Soloist with the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Richard Cock in 2017, but she never imagined that she would ever get the opportunity to perform in front of tens of thousands of people.

Heyns remarks:

“I was contacted by SA Rugby earlier this year and offered the incredible opportunity to sing the British National Anthem, "God Save The Queen", at one of the international test matches. It is an immense honour to be invited to sing at such a big event. I am also excited to showcase my talent in front of more than 62 000 people who will be watching the game live at the stadium, and to thousands of people watching from television sets across the globe. This will be one of the main highlights of my singing career so far and an experience that I will never forget.”

Heyns joins a prestigious list of performers, locally and internationally, who have received the honour of singing an anthem at a sports event in the past, a tradition that dates back to 1918 according to an ESPN article.

This particular match is also momentuos because it is England’s first visit to South Africa in six years.

Heyns is a true Springbok fan, but she will definitely win you over and score the hearts of all rugby fans all over the world with her rendition of ‘God Save The Queen’.
