FCA Heritage takes part in the third edition of Archivissima

FCA shares in the concept of enhancing and promoting historical heritage through Italy's archive festival. This year, due to the Covid-19 emergency, the appointment will take place entirely online, on the website www.archivissima.it with over 50 podcasts and a suggestive digital exhibition

From 5 to 8 June, the third edition of Archivissima will take place. This national festival aims to bring the public closer to the historical value and fascination of key archive collections, encouraging citizens to participate and share in the memories stored in these invaluable homes of culture. This year, due to the pandemic emergency afflicting the entire country, the organization has decided to create a digital version of its schedule, setting up over 50 podcasts and a digital exhibition rote, thanks to contributions from the numerous participating archives.

This festival is increasingly becoming a national event, and this year will feature the participation of FCA Heritage, the department that cares for the history of the Group's Italian brands, in the Centro Storico Fiat, the renowned motoring museum in Turin. This contains an astonishing collection of cars, memorabilia, models and advertising posters, plus a huge documentary heritage illustrating the history of Italy's largest car manufacturer: more than 5,000 linear meters of paper documents; 300,000 technical drawings; 18,000 posters; 1,300 preparatory sketches; 5,000 books and magazines on automotive and industrial history; 6 million images and 200 hours of historical film archives.

The main theme of the third edition will be the role of women: exploring and renewing the countless stories, large and small, that in many areas have seen women play leading roles in activating the paths of change. The Festival schedule contains over 50 podcasts - 15 of which have been created by successful Italian writers - illustrating archive material from various historic companies and cultural institutions. A new digital exhibition will be also available for exploration, created especially for the occasion and dedicated to the heritage of Italy's past, gathered in countless archives , here enriched with period images and films, including many gems from the Centro Storico Fiat.

The entire schedule of digital content will be available on the website www.archivissima.it and on the event's official social networks.
