#NewsForChange with News Cafe Table View - Soccer For Change
#NewsForChange was inspired by News Cafe to bring change within the communities we live in, by enriching the lives of individuals who need.
News Cafe believes that giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference and that small acts of kindness can change the world and together they have the power to change people’s lives.
In light of Madiba’s 100th birthday, News Cafe has pledged to do 100 good deeds by the end of 2018
The News Cafe Table View team visited Sophakama Primary School in Dunoon, which is the informal settlement within the Tableview area. The Team donated 35 soccer balls towards the school’s soccer programme as well as provided lunch to the students. The team enjoyed a few matches against the students however the News Cafe Team lost against these 13 & 10 year-old soccer fanatics. Sophakama Primary School’s coach, Aaron Ntlangiso was very thankful for the donation and News Cafe looks forward to visiting Sophakama Primary School again
