The Green Live is proud to announce their Second Annual Craft Beer Festival at Benoni Northerns. After the success of last year’s festival, the organisers have decided to stick with the same formula and have once again included the best local craft breweries, delicious food and of course the best local entertainment.

But there is more!

At this event, the ‘Aces Brew Worx’ Beer Pong will aim to break the 6 000 cup mark; an attempt to break the previous year’s record of 5 530 cups played at a beer pong game in one day.

All ticket holders will get their first game on the house (600ml of beer).

Co-owner of The Green Live, Dax Menday explains: “This Beer Pong challenge was supposed to be met in February at the Craft Beer Festival at Gillooly’s Farm, but due to the rain, we had to postpone that festival. We thought it was the perfect opportunity to combine the two Craft Beer Festivals, to guarantee the success of this record being met, and it is also a great way to further unite the east with the north.”

So far Confirmed Live Entertainment consists of:

  • Bad Peter

  • Rubber Duc

Further music artists will be announced soon!

The Craft Breweries and Gourmet Food Vendors will be announced over the next few weeks.

The Green Craft Beer Festival is an initiative amongst many other events to follow this year, in order to show Johannesburg the beautiful venues that the East has to offer

The East Rand is home to the most outgoing, fun and vibrant population in Gauteng (Boet). So why has the East been left to suffer through the lack of quality festivals in recent times? The Green. LIVE says, ‘NO MORE’! The Green. LIVE will bring a host of festivals to the East Rand in 2017, showcasing the beautiful venues that the East has to offer and bringing the hottest SA acts to your doorstep. Prepare yourselves East Randien’s, for an influx of the North to our beautiful (lakeside) shores!

After successfully opening the Green. Craft Bar in Benoni The Green. Live saw a gap to host a one day music festival on the East Rand and decided to host ‘The Green Craft Beer Festival’ which sold out at 1500 attendee’s.

They have since expanded the Green. Craft Bar to Modderfontein, and plan to host six live music and experiential events in 2017.

Other festivals that The Green Live have been involved with include the Rise & Shine Festival based in Fourways as well as the Mieliepop Festival in Mpumalanga, which have been running successfully for the past five years.
