WesBank announces its continued support of the Cars.co.za Consumer Awards

WesBank, South Africa’s leading vehicle and asset finance house, is proud to announce that it will be the title sponsor of the 2019 Cars.co.za Consumer Awards.

This will be the third consecutive year that WesBank is sponsoring this prestigious awards programme, which has grown year on year in stature, reach and influence.

“We are very happy to once again be part of this highly influential and growing industry event. The Cars.co.za Consumer Awards is South Africa’s only motoring accolade which incorporates the views and experiences of car owners themselves. As the market leader in vehicle finance for the automotive industry, WesBank is proud to sponsor these prestigious awards which acknowledge OEM brands for making a positive impact on the lives of motorists through the cars they bring to our market. We wish all OEM brands the best of luck for this year’s awards and encourage all motorists to participate in the 2018/19 survey,”

says Ghana Msibi, WesBank’s Executive Head of Sales and Marketing.

The Cars.co.za Consumer Awards is a six-month campaign designed to better equip consumers in the car buying process. An expert team of judges, together with consumers, provide a shortlist of cars which informs those in the market for a vehicle, as to what should appear on their shortlist. Another key difference is that the awards don’t solely reward new cars launched in the past year. All vehicles on the market are in the running, provided they were launched locally by 1 September 2018 and comply with the criteria stipulated in the various categories.

The 13 categories align to what consumers are shopping for, these are:

Budget Car (up to R200 000)

Compact Hatch (from R200k to R300k)

Premium Compact (from R450k to R600k)
