To celebrate this special day and Women's Month, Johannesburg Opera is proud to present their concert The Power of a Woman’s Voice, taking place at the historic Northwards House in Parktown on Sunday 28th August at 15h00.
What better way to celebrate women than through music, and to show the power that a woman holds!
Says Phenye Modiane, Founder and Managing Director of Johannesburg Opera;
“Women play a vital role in opera and the entertainment industry in general. I am excited that Johannesburg Opera can put a spotlight on young, talented women during this women's month and I can't wait to see them in action and to share this concert with Jozi."
The Power of a Woman’s Voice stars and all-female cast, showcasing the talents of performers Khayakazi Madlala, Yolisa Ngwexana (sopranos), and Asisipho Petu (mezzo-soprano); all superbly accompanied by Annalien Ball on piano.
They will take the audience on an emotional journey and entertain you with many of your favourite opera arias and ensembles including Ebben? Ne Andro Lontana; Seguidilla; I Feel Pretty; Sull'aria; The Flower Duet, Barcarolle... and many more.
