Kia South Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to helping vulnerable South African children by donating a Kia Picanto 1.0 START to the Beeld Children’s Fund. It is the sixth consecutive year that Kia South Africa is donating a vehicle, which the Fund will once again use as the grand prize in their annual fundraising raffle. The raffle is also supported by Afrikaans radio station, Radiosondergrense (RSG 100-104fm).

“In the spirit of building a nation and a better future in South Africa, nothing can be more worthwhile than to educate, empower and take care of those children who are the most vulnerable, giving them a better chance in life,” affirms Gary Scott, CEO of Kia South Africa.

“As a proudly South African company, Kia South Africa strongly believes that the future of our country lies with the youth. We are proud to help facilitate opportunities for them to flourish and succeed, and thank the Beeld Children’s Fund for allowing us to affect the lives of these little ones in meaningful ways,” concluded Scott.

The Beeld Children’s Fund was founded in 1977. Its vision is to empower and develop children to such an extent, that they will be able to be self-sufficeint adults, free from welfare or government support. As a registered Non-Profit Organisation and Public Benefit Organisation, and through 24 welfare organisations, more than 6,000 children benefit from this Fund every year. Since inception, over 200,000 children have benefited, with around 30 development projects for children in need being funded annually.

In 2022, the Fund’s annual fundraising raffle raised a total over R800,000 with well over 26,000 entries received.

“The Beeld Children's Fund is faced by the plight of thousands of children in need. The various programmes serve the needs of a wide variety of vulnerable children,” explains Adrie van Staden, Executive Officer of the Beeld Children’s Fund. “The monies raised by and for the Fund are used to sponsor development projects which range from day care for very young ones, to preschool education, the stimulation programs for disabled children, therapies for abused and traumatized children, as well as extra classes in English reading and understanding, as well as Maths classes for primary school children.”

With the grand prize of a Kia Picanto 1.0 START, there are also a number of other bonus prizes on offer. Winning is easy: for every donation of R30, donors receive one entry into the raffle. Donating is even easier:
