RENAULT SA is proud to officially announce a new partnership with young South African rugby star Aphelele Fassi.

In the field of sport, we have actively identified wholesome brand partners who not only possess immense potential within their chosen field, but also always perform with extreme determination and commitment.  At the same time, it’s critical that they reflect our core brand values of EXCELLENCE and PASSION underpinned by HUMILITY.

Sport is undeniably a strong unifier within South Africa, which aside from creating great camaraderie, promotes a healthy lifestyle and presents enjoyable opportunities for relaxation and socialising.  In this regard, RENAULT SA has taken the stance of supporting high-performing individuals within the realm of sport, and contributing to uplifting communities at large.

We believe in recognising those who seek to break down boundaries through challenging the status quo, and we strive to support and celebrate them in their quest to excel.  With this in mind, Aphelele Fassi embodies our brand DNA, and RENAULT feels privileged to be in a position to celebrate his journey to achieve his ultimate goals.

Similarly, RENAULT also appreciates the brand alignment with Roc Nation Sports International, the world-renowned agency that manages the career of Fassi, and who facilitated this partnership.

Aphelele, who was born in King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape, is a naturally gifted sportsman who excelled at both rugby and cricket during his school days at Dale College.

After representing Border at various youth rugby tournaments, Aphelele made the move to Durban, where he quickly established himself as one of the leading players for the Sharks rugby team. Just last year, the 24-year-old made a memorable Test debut, and is currently in camp with the national team at the start of a new Test season.

Not only does Aphelele show relentless determination to succeed on the field, but he also displays exemplary behaviour to accomplish all his dreams.  He is a worthy role model to the youth within our country, inspiring them to dream big and commit to realising their true potential through hard work.
