Delicate Finger Sandwiches, Chicken Baos, Fresh Scones, Macarons, Croquembouche, Chocolate Truffles, Vegan Tofu Pinwheels, Vegetable Spring-rolls, and Chilli Bites, are some of the items which we enjoyed at Club Lounge's biweekly High Tea this Saturday 3 September 2022.
The High Tea is held on the first and last Saturday of the month at City Lodge Hotel Group's flagship property; the Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City.
Executive Chef of the Hotel Keegan Maistry and his multi-talented team have taken a simple passion project, and turned it into the talk-of-the-town in a few short months since the launch of the service on 4 June 2022.
The menu varies depending on seasonal items, but can also be specially prepared if you are planning on booking out the event for a function.
The exclusive private venue is open for a maximum of 24 people to enjoy the exquisite High Tea offering.
Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City has a no waste food policy, so extra ingredients like lemons which are not used at The Protea restaurant or The Highline gourmet lounge, would essentially be used to bake a lemon cake for the High Tea.
Fresh Ice Tea, Fruit Infused Water, and Fresh Fruit Juice are part of the bottomless buffet spread, with a Dilmah station which has a wide selection of teas available from Rose with French Vanilla to Green Tea with Jasmine Flowers.
Non-Alcoholic welcome drinks were prepared by Dumisani who also assisted with infusing my Moroccan Mint Tea and Nabihah's Natural Infusion of Blueberry and Clove Tea.
The staff at the City Lodge Hotel Group always bring the WOW factor, and each person we interacted with made us feel at home.
The next High Tea will be held on the 24 September 2022 from 2p.m to 4p.m at R465 per person.
Due to the limited space, booking is essential.
