This Pharmacist Assistant in training, mentored under the helpful hands of pharmacist Rex Dlamini, has a hunger and a passion to master his field.
Appearance Sibuyi is a Pharmacist Assistant in training in his hometown of Giyani in Limpopo. Growing up in Giyani, Appearance says there weren't many opportunities, so when he got a chance to train as an assistant at the local pharmacy, he saw it as his big break.
Mentoring him in his hometown, is pharmacist Rex Dlamini who runs a Pharmacist Assistant training programme that gives graduates the opportunity to gain pharmaceutical experience. Over the past 15 years, Dlamini has trained over 80 assistants who have gone on to be the breadwinners of their families.
Appearance values the mentorship he's receiving, because he believes mistakes can happen easily without it.
"If a mentorship is in place, it can help us to grow, to be consistent and to have discipline. I believe discipline is the most important thing,"
Dlamini, who has over 4 decades of experience as a pharmacist, noticed Appearance has a hunger and a passion to be successful and he shows commitment to achieving his goals.
"I think he fits well into the Next Generation of Brave, because he is confident but still prepared to learn,"
