market particularly with reference of course to the all new JMC Vigus uh and then give you some details on the on the product itself before you get the

opportunity to drive it. If you were with us at the brand launch just over two weeks ago, uh there's some repetition. I apologize in advance. I

think uh it's it's worth it uh just to go through some of those points again uh and potentially some new information for

you as well. So I want to talk about the market first of all a little bit about how we see the market. This is the total

South African market graft by month of course over the last three and a bit years.

uh important for us to reference this because what jumps out straight away is that for the last 18 months, every month

has been better than the corresponding month in the 12 month period. Of course,

there's always going to be some seasonality. Uh but we can see the market continuing to be incredibly robust, incredibly strong as we've

started this year. The blue bars on the left hand side representing January, February, March of course of this year.

And you can see again versus the corresponding month the previous year continuing to grow. Notwithstanding uh what's happening in the Middle East of

course March at the beginning of March we still see we saw March come out as a really strong month. So uh great opportunity here in the market. We're

very optimistic. Uh we're very bullish about what the rest of the year will be like.

But we want to talk about BIES. So I'm going to just dive a little deeper into that specific segment. This is 2025

folio market. It's pie charted to show you the breakup by segment. Passenger cars of course in our market are the

dominant segment. 70% of of all the vehicles last year were passenger cars.

All the vehicles reported last year. For us, the red slice is the important one.

24% of the market was LCV. Light commercial vehicles. Of course,

commercial vehicles under 3,500 gross vehicle mass. Uh, and light commercials,

you can see, is around about one in four. This is no surprise to any of you. I'm certain bies are incredibly popular.

Light commercials are incredibly popular. One in four cars sold last year. In fact, was a light commercial.

If we look down into that slice of the light commercials, the 24%, call it one in four for ease of reference. This is

the breakup of that segment. Uh, and again, very clear for us, very important for us is the red slice. 48% of the

light commercial market was double cab pickups or bies if you will. Uh 32%

single cab, 7.4 extended cab and then uh the balance made up of minibus chassis cabs uh and of course some panel van but

light uh rather light commercial vehicle that 48% is where we are where where we want to be where we are with biggest 48%

call it half of the light commercial vehicle. So, if one in four cars sold last year was a light commercial vehicle

with rough maths, one in eight was a double cab pickup, uh, of course, incredibly popular in the local markets.

This is not a surprise to you, but a great opportunity for us based on that growing market, uh, and Vegas clearly in

that space. So going down one step further and looking at the double cab market and how it's made up. This is your drive type 4x2 versus 4x4 of course

represented by the green and red lines respectively. And over the last 5 years this is full year numbers up to 25. You

can see that 4x2 uh has shrunk slightly just a couple of percentage points. 4x4 has increased a couple of percentage

points from 42 44 to 46% last year. Uh there's no real differentiator here. The market for double cabs is more or less split fairly evenly between 4x2 and 4x4.

Uh fuel types really is is very clear. There's a obviously a clear split. We have some petrol in this segment. We know the

petrol in this double cap segment is mostly performance. Uh but diesel is very clearly the energy source of choice in the double cap space.

Uh and then the last one on the double cabs is the uh gear type or the transmission type. So we'll see here

mirroring the overall market where automatic transmissions continue to grow at the expense of the manual transmissions. Two important things

here. Number one is absolutely auto continues to grow as the technology gets better and better in terms of fuel consumption, in terms of drivability,

and I think as the public demands that convenience of an automatic transmission, we'll see that continue to grow. Although the scale of growth has

dropped off a little bit and not withstanding the fact that there's still 18% of the market that wants a manual transmission, whether it be for convenience specific applications,

potentially price points, there is still a significant portion, remember those volumes we were talking about, a significant portion of double cab buyers

who are looking for a manual transmission. So, just giving you some sense of where the market is, what the market is looking for, and we're going

to talk a little bit about what JMC has to offer in that particular segment. And of course, we're talking about all New Vegas today. All new Vegas that we're

introducing you here to today is the sixth generation. Uh you can see on my far right hand side. So, Vegas is a is a

global bucky of course. Uh sold in over 110 countries worldwide. 25 years of vigorous production, over millions of

units sold to those customers. Sixth generation for us, all new generation, a very important addition for us for the

JMC range. So, you might recall if you were with us 2 and a half weeks ago. We've done extensive research with JMC.

We've had a delegation of JMC engineers and product specialists here uh visiting us over the last 12 months. Uh, and one

of the uh, one of the activ one of the activities, one of the engagements that we had was with Bucky customers. Uh, and I listed these a couple of weeks ago.

I'll just remind you that four of the most important things that new Bucky buyers are looking for. They're looking for an engine that's powerful and versatile. They're looking for a cabin,

the interior that mirrors a car-like space. They're looking for a low total cost of ownership, not just purchase

price, but total cost of ownership. and they're looking for ruggedness,

reliability, robustness because ultimately it's a bucky. Uh, and that's what they want. So those four fundamentals are one of the one of the

elements that we looked at when specifying the JMC range, when working with the JMC engineers and product guys.

In terms of size and exterior aesthetics, the Bucky obviously is immediately striking predominantly

because of its bold logo front and center on the Bucky. JMC there uh providing some assertiveness to the

front grill. Very squared off lines as well. Again, aggressive front end. Some Mecca inspiration in that front end. of

side, of course, we have the bespoke two-spoke steering wheel with all of the controls at your fingertips, we have the 9-in floating instrument cluster. So,

also with your pertinent information relevant, bright, and in front of you,

including, of course, your tire pressure monitoring system on the automatic transmissions. Uh, and then on the automatic transmissions, a 12.8 in

touchscreen as well. really mirroring a carlike interior, what you would expect to find on a similar type of family SUV.

to the carike comfort and drivability of the car. Uh, and of course, reverse camera with you have with the presence of the screen, reverse camera to the screen on the automatic transmissions.

uh and I encourage you to uh have a look at the quality, not just the quality of the screen, the quality of the picture,

but the quality of the interface as well uh on the touchcreen. So, I mentioned Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, of course,

uh these have become almost hygiene. You would expect to find them on a touchcreen. You certainly find that in the biggest. You have, of course,

interface as well for your audio controls. You have interfaces for your vehicle uh metrics measuring your tire

pressure where available, range etc. uh on the touchcreen and then you have your settings as well. So uh again in terms

of intuitiveness on the screen, how easy it is to use uh and how adaptive it is,

how reactive it is. Uh down to even the interior ventilation controls also very intuitive, very easy to use available on the touchcreen.

Staying on the interior, we'll talk a little bit about the transmission. I mentioned that 18% of the LCV market remains for a manual transmission. So,

all new Vegas gets a new manual transmission. Wasn't available to us on on on Vigas 5, available to us on Vig 6.

And we have the opportunity today as well to drive some manual. So, when we do the on-road section, we have a couple of manual cars available. Uh, if that's

your preference, you will have the opportunity to experience the manual drive.

The transmission is made by Magna. Most of you will know Magna. Worldwide manufacturers of manual transmissions,

manufacturing transmissions for some of the biggest brands globally. Great efficiency in that transmission. Uh and

that allows through the manual transmission to achieve a fuel economy of just 7 L per 100ks. Fuel consumption

certainly is a big part of total cost of ownership. It is certainly a hot topic at the moment with the recent price

changes on the fuel price and uh the threatened price change again at the beginning of May. 7 L per 100ks on the

manual transmission through that uh through that gearbox and through that some of the engine changes which we'll talk about. Uh absolutely a great fuel consumption on a on a vehicle that size.

We do retain, of course, the 8-speed automatic transmission that you're familiar with from the current Vegas,

uh, with a really nice little gear change lever, uh, premium leather and metal finish to it, nice and tactile in

your hand. Uh, 8-speed automatic transmission available, of course, on the 4x2 and 4x4. But the beating heart really of the New Vegas is the engine.

So, of course, that's the all new JMC C Wild 2.5 turbo diesel engine. Uh you saw it in a couple of iterations and you'll

see that it's been designed to be very versatile. We're introducing it here today in the all new Vegas obviously in

the light duty configuration with 123 kW of power and up to 430 newton meters of torque. This is our first, as I said,

introduction of the JMC Wild. We'll see the JMC Wild again later on this year when we introduce Grand Avenue. And

we'll see the same engine a little bit later this year when we expand our range of trucks. But for our purposes, we want to talk about this particular iteration.

displacement diesel pump whether it's the X mirror intake. uh every little step improving your fuel consumption

incrementally over time and of course the overall greater than the sum of its parts.

And it wasn't a small step of course to introduce this engine. Uh lots of bench testing, 48,000 hours of bench testing,

1,200 of them at full throttle. That's uh almost 140,000 ks simulator driving

at full throttle all the way. 1,100 globally tested to make sure that the Baky is versatile enough uh to be able

to be sold worldwide. We talk about that in a moment. Not just bench testing though, 87 different tests with 128

different prototypes, including extensive testing here locally. Uh during the course of the end of last

year before we introduced the Bucky, we had JMC engineers driving the car up at the reef, driving it down at the coast

as well. So one of those 128 prototypes is here with us. One of those 87 rigorous tests was done here with us in

this country over 4 million km. But of course it wasn't just here. It was tested globally starting on the left

hand side. Tested in the Middle East 50 up to 50° heat. Not just testing the engine capabilities and reliability but

also testing the creature comforts in the cabin. So achieving, you know, with a 43° centigrade ambient temperature,

achieving an interior temperature of 11.7° within 10 minutes through the uh climate or through the air conditioning.

Also tested at high altitude, 4,800 m above sea sea level is the Kundland Pass

in northeast northwest China rather up in Johannesburg. You will know we're sitting at about 1,800 m above sea

for starting and tested extensively in a real world environment for rust proofing with lots of improvements and iterations

addition though which we didn't show you a couple of weeks ago. You would have seen the vehicle outside. It's the JMC Vegas outdoor edition. So, we have the opportunity for some outdoor editions.

one as well as the white one, we have the front bumper. This front bumper has been fitted here to all of our 4x4 versions, but on the outdoor edition,
