As the curtain went up for the opening performance of the Michael Jackson HIStory tribute show featuring Garth Field, he received rapturous applause. “The King of Pop” was “back” and the audience could not get enough of Field’s non-stop highly energetic performance, the music and the way he connected directly with them throughout the show.

Facebook was ablaze with accolades.

“I danced in my chair for the full 2 hours, what a show!”

commented Leandra Johnson.

“Going again on Friday!’

added Anne Power.

“Hands down, must see again show! Thoroughly enjoyed it”

says Ecj NyaMbe.

“The dancers are exceptional. Costumes, spot on. And Garth Field as King Of Pop reigns supreme,”

wrote Chet Diepraam.

With just three last performances this weekend (Friday, 2 February; Saturday, 3 February, both at 8pm and the final show at 2pm on Sunday, 4 February), fans of Michael Jackson’s music, lovers of “MJ’s” unique dance moves and theatre enthusiasts who enjoy a night of nostalgia, are encouraged to book now. This spectacular music tribute and full-scale stage production honours the one and only King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Theatre reviewer and musician Bruce Dennill sums up the production in a recent review on his online platform, pARTicipate:

“As Jackson, Capetonian Garth Field does an excellent job. He’s not a straight lookalike, but he has what matters far more in this particular case: the ability to move like Jackson, and to handle the high range of the American’s vocals …. The choreography and vocal stylings are the most enduring parts of Jackson’s brand …. It’s a non-stop show for him, and his stamina, along with that of a superb quartet of dancers, is phenomenal.”

Celebrate Jackson’s creative genius and unsurpassed talent with riveting live performances evoking his early days as a member of the Jackson 5, his ground-breaking theatrics in the 80’s and his continued domination of Pop culture into the 21st century.

Songs include Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Bad, Beat It, ABC, Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Human Nature, PYT, They Don’t Really Care About Us and many more.

Get the full Michael Jackson concert experience with triple-threat SA performer Garth Field – electrifying in his role as Jackson – plus a live band, choreographed dancers, authentic costumes, state-of-the-art sound and theatrical lighting, vision and effects.

Critics and audience members unanimously agree. The Michael Jackson HIStory Tribute Show truly is a mind-blowing stage production – not to be missed! It’s the next best thing to a live performance by the King of Pop. Hurry show must end on Sunday.
