She teamed up with legendary musician, producer and composer, Nile Rodgers for the first single off her upcoming debut album. The single titled, “Miami” is an enormous, sun-drenched pop anthem which could well become the official tune for the Miami Tourism Board.
Hannah Lux Davis, one of the best and most in-demand video directors on the planet, readily agreed to direct the video for "Miami feat. Nile Rogers" when she heard the song. Hannah has directed award-winning videos for the likes of Ariana Grande, as well as Doja Cat, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera.
Described as the “rarest of gems”, Lola has the exceptional charisma of a true pop diva combined with the melodic and lyrical talent of a gifted singer songwriter. Lola possesses an immediately recognizable and commercially appealing voice, much like inspirations Kylie Minogue and Dua Lipa. And Lola writes big pop songs with lyrics that come from her own unique life experiences, much like her heroines Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks.
Born and raised in South Africa, Lola’s musical journey began from a young age and was always encouraged by her family. After settling in London, Lola got serious about developing her music. Back in 2021, Lola released her first single "Diamonds" and several terrific remixes, which soon entered the Top 10 on the UK Dance Chart. 2022 was the year Lola wrote and recorded her entire debut album.
"Miami feat. Nile Rodgers" was co-written by Lola and produced by Barney Cox and global hitmaker Stuart Crichton, who has worked with an illustrious roster of artists including Backstreet Boys, Selena Gomez, The Chainsmokers, Tiesto and Kesha. Crichton loved working with Lola on this song and was incredibly impressed with her songwriting and musicianship. As the title indicates, the iconic guitar playing of the legendary Nile Rogers is prominently featured on the single. This is classic Nile and his playing propels this gloriously fun and cheeky tune.
Both the single and the entire album were mixed by the brilliant Jeff Ellis, winner of a Grammy for his work on the acclaimed Frank Ocean album Channel Orange and nominated for two others.
Lola's team is as impressive as her music and her star quality. Brett Alan Nelson, Doja Cat's genius creative director, stylist and collaborator is now Lola's creative director as well. Brett has also worked with other superstars such as Nicki Minaj, Lizzo and Karol G.
Lola's manager is the legendary Randy Phillips, whose clients over the years have included Prince, Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson, Usher and Lionel Richie. Randy was also President of AEG, the live entertainment and sports giant. Randy saw Lola's unlimited potential and calls her a "true pop superstar in the making".
Her team also includes A&R Jeff Fenster, who has had decades of success and is most known for signing Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, Dua Lipa and the Killers. Her UK A&R Craig Dimech had a UK #1 and international hit as the artist Meck, and as an A&R, label head and DJ he has worked with Madonna, Calvin Harris, Tiesto and Armand Van Helden.
Rounding out the all-star creative and marketing team is Lisa I’Anson, the former MTV VJ and National Radio 1 and Kiss FM DJ who is renowned for her underground and rare groove taste in music.
Lola Audreys is an exceptional talent and personality who is on the road to pop superstardom. "Miami feat. Nile Rogers" is the beginning of what is destined to be a long and bedazzling journey to the top of the global charts!
