“On the KZN South Coast, we have everything from the traditional romantic venues to once-in-a-lifetime adventures for thrill seekers – and many of our local establishments are offering great Valentine’s specials that shouldn’t be missed!”

 

Valentine’s Day on the KZN South Coast

1.       Valentine’s Weekend Getaway

Kingfisher Lakeside Retreat is offering an extended Valentine’s special on the weekends before and after Valentine’s Day. Book one of these weekends and receive a free beverage, and a delicious cooked breakfast for two on Saturday morning.

Location: Kingfisher Lakeside Retreat, Trafalgar

Dates: 9 and 10 February or 16 and 17 February

Cost: R3 800 per couple for two-night stay, self-catering

 

2.       Dive with the Sharks 

Shark Cage Diving KZN is offering a Valentine’s Day special for those wanting a truly unique experience this year! The shark cage dive or snorkeling with sharks comes with free underwater photos and a DVD of the dive included in the price.

Location: Shark Cage Diving KZN, Rocky Bay

Dates: 14 February

Cost: Shark cage dive for R1300 per person or snorkeling with sharks for R1500 per person

 

3.       Romantic Meal

The award-winning Packshed Restaurant is preparing a delicious 4-course Valentine’s Day meal which includes a free drink and sweet Valentine’s gift to take home. Enjoy some live music, fantastic food, and great company.

4.       Zipline Adventure 

Lake Eland Game Reserve is offering a special on its zipline adventure for Valentine’s weekend. This is a 14-zipline tour, the longest zipline in Africa extending across 4.5km with incredible views.

Location: Lake Eland Game Reserve, Oribi Gorge

Dates: 16 and 17 February

Cost: R800 per couple

 

5.       Romantic Game Drive

Experience Africa at its finest with a romantic game drive at Lake Eland Game Reserve. This guided game drive, where guests can see a range of antelope, zebra, giraffe, and more, also includes a private picnic and snacks.

Location: Lake Eland Game Reserve, Oribi Gorge

Dates: 14 to 17 February from 4pm to 6.30pm

Cost: R800 per couple

 

 

6.       Relaxing Spa Experience

There’s nothing more luxurious than a spa treatment in the African bush! The Spa at Lake Eland Game Reserve is offering a romantic couple’s 45-minute back and neck massage, followed by a delicious two-course lunch with champagne.

Location: Lake Eland Game Reserve, Oribi Gorge

Dates: 14 to 17 February

Cost: R1200 per couple

 

7.       Valentine’s Buffet Lunch

Premier Resort Cutty Sark is hosting an unmissable Valentine's Day Lunch Buffet arranged by its renowned culinary team. The three-course buffet includes a welcome drink on arrival with soups, salads, and starters followed by a delectable hot meal selection, and finishing with a decadent dessert option. Bookings are essential.
