A King Without a Kingdom: Mufasa’s 1,222-Day Wait for Love
Mufasa’s name means king, but for more than 1,222 days he has waited quietly for his kingdom: a loving home of his own. This handsome 3-year-old Pitbull has watched over a thousand African sunsets from TEARS Animal Rescue, dreaming of the day someone will finally choose him.
At first, Mufasa can be a little shy. New people make him cautious, but once he trusts you, his true personality shines. He’ll greet you with enthusiastic kisses, a wagging tail, and a heart full of love. Gentle, affectionate, and eager to please, Mufasa thrives in calm environments where he can build strong bonds with his humans. He loves scenic walks, splashing in water, cuddles, scratches, and the occasional burst of joyful zoomies.
He has luxating patella’s and recently underwent surgery on both back legs after suffering cruciate ligament injuries. Thanks to the kindness of a volunteer who raised funds for his operations, he is now recovering in a foster home. But foster care is only temporary, and we’d love for him to go straight to his forever home.
After spending so much of his life waiting in kennels, Mufasa deserves a family, a soft bed, and a place to belong. All he needs is someone to believe in him. Give Mufasa a chance, and he’ll give you his whole heart forever.
