TEARS fundraiser art exhibition in Noordhoek - Art meets heart

Bring your love of original art – and your generosity – to an auction of lovingly reimagined, ‘rePAWposed’ art in support of TEARS Animal Rescue at the Noordhoek Art Point Gallery on Friday, 31 July 2026. This is the fourth year this popular, playful and super-fun event has been held - and always to rave reviews!
To add a twist on the word ‘repurposed’, about 40 pieces of art, donated from the TEARS Charity shop, have been reimagined by local artists – and a few by rescue dogs!! – to create a brand-new piece in celebration of creativity and compassion. Paintings that were once discarded, many spending years being overlooked in the charity shop, have been transformed into beautiful, meaningful works. A second chance for the art, just like the animals that TEARS rescues.
TEARS Animal Rescue spokesperson, Tinka Shapiro, says,
“We are so excited to be hosting this stunningly successful event again! Anyone who has been to this over the last few years will agree that it is an evening of fun, much laughter and a chance to pick up something beautiful for a very good cause."
“TEARS invited local artists to choose a previously loved artwork from the charity store and breathe new life into it. Each artist brings their own distinctive style, imagination, vision and creativity, transforming the piece into something entirely unique, giving it a new story while honouring its past. This is not your average art exhibition. It’s whimsical and thought-provoking, surprising and a little bit cheeky,”
says Shapiro.
All the fantastic pieces up for grabs can be viewed at the venue - Noordhoek Art Point Gallery - from Sunday, 26 July until the auction begins on Friday, 31 July.
