Innovative Solutions Group TM received the award for the Best Outsourcing Service Provider in Africa while its CEO and Managing Director of Innovative Staffing Solutions, Arnoux Maré was awarded for CEO of the Year.

The African Leadership Awards has been running since 2011 and it focusses on Achievers, Super Achievers and Future Business Leaders. It attracts the best from Africa while highlighting and awarding their ability to steer their businesses through turbulent times, applying the best of business modules to manage and keep their missions afloat. Over 20 categories recognise the achievements made by selected high profile corporate business leaders in Africa and honour their great contributions towards the country's post-recession economic development.

“We are sincerely grateful to be recognised for something we consider our passion and calling. I believe that Innovative Solutions Group TM excelled due to our ability to create a climate where each one of our 7,500 employees and our clients can excel and achieve our combined strategic goals. The award motivates us to work even harder at making a difference and breaking new grounds through an innovative and effective outsourcing model,” says Maré.

Maré has received various accolades for turning his once R500 start-up into a R600-million turnover per year company in a very short span.

“Six years ago, I began my company from my own lounge and my first retainer earned me a meagre R780 per month. I’ve always had a never-say-die attitude and with hard work and dedication managed to build my dream to such an extent that we now have 17 subsidiaries across a number of sectors and full time staff around the country,” he says.

The idea for Innovative Solutions Group TM resulted from identifying a gap in the market and taking advantage of it.

"Our outsourcing solutions are designed to simplify systems and lessen our clients’ workload, allowing them to do what they do best, while we focus on our core capability; their staffing needs," he explains.

Maré says the group has demonstrated that it is possible to bridge the large skills shortage in the workplace.

“We have a unique offering whereby we ensure that our outsourced workforce is part of a continuous process of learning and growth to the benefit of our clients. We focus specifically on upskilling people working in the unskilled and semi-skilled sectors, creating opportunities for further education, on-the-job training, mentorship programmes and promotion,” he says.

Maré is confident that Innovative Solutions Group TM will continue to lead the outsourcing industry in South Africa while at the same time educating the public and labour market about its positive contribution to economic growth. He projects that the group will show 30% growth for the new financial year and aims to employ 15 000 people by the end of 2018.
