Burj Khalifa, Time Square, and the Matterhorn display their solidarity with South Africa
A few minutes ago the world's tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, was lit up with the South African flag in celebration of Freedom Day.
A Facebook post with a picture of the display from Burj Khalifa read:

The 829m building was draped from top to bottom in the beautiful colours of the South African flag.
This just days after the Zermatt village in Switzerland had displayed a light projection of the South African flag on the Matterhorn mountain.
The famous Nasdaq electronic billboard in Time Square, New York also had a message to display in celebration of South Africa's Freedom Day on 27th April 2020.

South Africa celebrates 26 years since the first democratic elections was held in 1994, which saw the late Nelson Mandela inaugurated as the President of the new democracy.
