Glitz and glamour reigned supreme as some of South Africa’s most influential people gathered to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.

In the grand style of formidable partnerships, Edith Unlimited and Cell C collaborated with Tanqueray, the world’s premium gin, to create a breathtaking and memorable event. The event brought together successful cosmopolitan individuals including sportsmen, actors and socialites over delicious and well-crafted welcome cocktails.

The event served a variety of appetizing delicacies from tantalizing gourmet foods by By Word of Mouth to creatively crafted gin cocktails from Tanqueray, upmarket pop-up stores and a glamorous fashion show from Nhlanhla Nciza’s NN Vintage label.

“We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event which was once again, a day to be remembered.  Since its inception three years ago, the event continues to grow in attendance, quality partnerships and all-round support towards a great cause. Once again, thank you to our sponsors who continuously pledge to being part of this incredible initiative to help us to achieve our mission - to raise awareness for breast cancer,” says Edith Venter, CEO of Edith Unlimited.

The business of the day was to raise funds for those affected by breast cancer and enjoy a polo match between Team Cell C and Team Tanqueray Africa.  All proceeds from the event will contribute towards making a difference to women who are newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, those currently undergoing treatment, as well as those in remission.

Says Stephne Jacobs from Reach For Recovery, “We would like to personally thank the Edith Unlimited team for pulling off another successful event and helping us to further raise awareness and funds towards breast cancer. The support is greatly appreciated and it is events such as this that help us continue to fight cancer, one patient at a time.”

Cell C were once again proud sponsors of this auspicious and elegant event.

“Although the weather did not play along, everybody still had a fantastic day out to support this worthy cause. It is always such a pleasure to bring goodwill and glamour together with this beautiful event, and of course, the highlight of the event was when the Cell C Polo team won!” says Suzette Van der Merwe, Managing Executive of Cell C Foundation.
