The HYPROP MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience 2024 reached an electrifying climax at Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Cape Town, from Wednesday, 11 September to Sunday, 15 September. The grand final brought together the nation’s top esports talent for a weekend filled with intense competition, where the best players battled for supremacy and a shot at the R25,000 top prize.
The event marked the culmination of months of fierce competition, with eight qualifiers held across the country in the participating Hyprop malls. Gaming enthusiasts from all corners of South Africa showed up to witness the thrilling action, which saw the nation’s best digital athletes go head-to-head for their share of an incredible R200,000 prize pool.

The grand final event at Canal Walk Shopping Centre did not disappoint. Fans packed the venue, with hundreds of eager spectators watching as the country’s most skilled gamers showcased their talents in popular esports titles, including EAFC and Call of Duty (COD).
