Urban Dance West Side Story meets High Energy Circus Acts - Cirque Eloize iD
Heart-skipping, breath-taking, mind-blowing, fun filled entertainment all jam packed into a 2 hour performance - this is Cirque Eloize iD (pronounced Sirk-ehl-waz eye-dee)
I, for one, am glad that the conventional circus has been done away with. Not only because of how the animals were treated, but due to the animals no longer a part of the act, it has given rise to a new form of creativity and performing arts.
It's amazing to see exactly what we or rather some people can do with their bodies, as Cirque Eloize iD takes us on a phenomenal journey of wall-climbing, hoop-jumping, bike-riding, ball-juggling, and even chair-stacking.
The energy is fast paced, non-stop, with the innovative video projections on the stage set and the music complements each scene by giving the viewer the ultimate audio and visual experience.
After the first act I was left speechless as there is absolutely no words to describe the emotions I felt while watching the performance. I was literally on the edge of my seat, glued to the stage, not even thinking of taking pictures or tweeting in between. The second act was just as spectacular as the first, with flawless execution of each move by the performers.
A live performance is always great when the audience is also asked to participate, and the Troupe made sure we were involved throughout the show by choosing a volunteer to go up on stage and be part of the exciting act, as well as the continuous spurring on from the crowd.
Not to give too much away, but if you want to see Spiderman in real life and other characters that you thought only existed in movies and books, then Cirque Eloize iD is for you.
The show officially opened last night 30 November 2016 and runs until 24 December 2016 at the Teatro in Monte Casino.
