Comic Con Africa returns with Toyota as the official event partner
Prepare your finest cosplay outfits and come out to play! Comic Con Africa is coming back to Johannesburg with Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) returning as the official event partner for the 2nd year running. As part of our partnership, the Toyota Gaming Engine [TTGE] will be offering an array of games to play for epic prizes.
Whether you’re new to gaming or a seasoned veteran, come and play your favourite titles at TTGE’s Engine Room at Comic Con Africa. Get ready for 4 days of free-to-play Mario Kart, Brawl Stars, Street Fighter 6, and Gran Turismo 7 challenges.
Each day at Comic Con Africa, the TTGE Engine Room will put a different gaming title in the spotlight. Two surprise influencers will also be coming to the TTGE Engine Room to rev up the vibes. Stay tuned to our channels to find out who they are.

As part of our CSR programme, TTGE will invite 10 of the top CSR players to come experience Comic Con Africa. At the end of Comic Con Africa, the racers that put in the Top 10 fastest laps in Gran Turismo 7 will automatically be placed into the online tournament which kicks off after Comic Con Africa. This will create an opportunity for those that don’t have a racing setup at home to compete, levelling the playing field and helping ambitious gamers get better.
This year's grand prize is 1 of 5 Toyota Gazoo Racing Advanced Driving Experiences. Over the course of the 4 days, the top 3 gamers in each challenge will win their share of R2000 in Takealot vouchers daily. If that’s not enough, on Friday, 29 September we will host faceoffs against our influencers intitle-specific showdowns at the main stage between 13:45 to 15:10 where the TTGE Engine Room attendees will get a chance to take on an influencer for 1 of4 R3 000 Takealot vouchers and all the bragging rights.
