Enter Fleet Safety Awards during the Prize Bonanza
The clock is running down for fleets, drivers and organisations committed to keeping people safe on South Africa's roads. Entries for the Fleet Safety Awards 2026 close on 12 October 2026, which leaves only days to put forward the work that deserves to be seen, and now, there is also an extra incentive to enter.
In the run up to the deadline, MasterDrive also launched the Final Week Prize Bonanza. Every day over the last six days, all new entries are placed into a draw for a wide range of fantastic prizes. Completing your submission now means your entry is in the running for a daily prize, on top of the opportunity to win a share of R250 000 in cash prizes.
The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, has a clear message for anyone putting in the effort to improve their fleet safety this year. "Do not let it go unrecognised. We encourage organisations to spend 30 minutes to enter the running to win cash prizes that can positively affect multiple lives.
“Steps in the right direction are too important to stay out of sight, and entering is the simplest way to give it the exposure it deserves. Beyond the R250 000 in cash prizes, an entry is also independent, judge verified recognition that an organisation gets safety right. It is a form of validation no company can give itself, and it speaks volumes about a team's commitment.”
Entrants are recognised on stage in front of most of the industry at the gala awards ceremony. The opportunity for a fleet manager or a professional driver to stand in the spotlight and be recognised by peers for their work that protects lives, is not something these industry professionals are often exposed to.
Joint Managing Director of Commercial and Brand, Nishani Chetty, says if you are about to submit your entry this is what the judges are looking for. “They want to see real change rather than good policies on paper. Explain what you did, what changed and the results that can be measured.
“Specific examples and real numbers count for far more than polished wording. A well evidenced story will always stand out, and every entry is a chance to show that safer roads are the product of deliberate, measurable effort.”
Adding to the excitement of the Awards and the bountiful prizes to come, is now the Last Week Prize Bonanza. “Irrespective of where you place in the results, everyday a new entry will be drawn to win an additional valuable prize. There really is no reason to not enter,” says Chetty.
