Gather your Coins: Lyfe is Back this October
Y (previously known as YFM), the heartbeat of Joburg’s youth culture, is bringing LYFE back this summer with an unapologetic celebration of music, culture and the sounds shaping South Africa right now.
Taking place on Saturday, 31st October 2026 returning to Marks Park, Emmarentia, LYFE 2026 will showcase an exciting line-up that puts South African talent firmly in the spotlight, bringing together some of the country’s most compelling voices and performers for a full day of music, energy and unforgettable moments.
This year’s line-up brings together some of the most distinct voices from South Africa and beyond, featuring SA headliners Shekhinah, Thando Zide, Lusanda, Umzulu Phaqa, and others, alongside UK-born singer-songwriter AMA.
AMA (formerly AMA LOU), the London-raised artist who has carved out a distinctive space in contemporary R&B, blending soulful textures with elements of neo-soul, garage and drill. With her genre-fluid sound, striking artistry and international following, AMA adds a global dimension to an already dynamic line-up, creating a rich mix of sounds and styles that reflects both the depth of South Africa’s music landscape and its growing connection to the world stage.
Adding to the lifestyle-filled experience, Y’s own LesediTheDJ, Venom, Rarri, Fae-Fae and Fif_Laaa will add to the carefully curated alternative sounds of the day.
Holding down the LYFE experience on the mic will be Y’s Ayanda MVP, Nia Brown, Hey Shawty, Karen Mthethwa and Tulz Madala, bringing the unmistakable Y personality, energy and connection that audiences have come to know and love.
This year, Y is rewarding early arrivals with the introduction of a specially priced early-arrival ticket option on Webtickets. Available at a discounted rate, the ticket requires attendees to arrive by 1p.m. Ticket holders who arrive after this time will be required to pay an additional fee at the door.
