Great Expectations at the Hilton Cape Town
You may have heard about the re-vitalisation happening at the Hilton Hotel in Cape Town. Or maybe you’ve been passing the hotel on your morning commute on the corner of Wale and Buitengracht street and wondering what’s taking so long. Well, there promises to be big things in store.
The lobby is undergoing a complete facelift and while the popular Mezbaan restaurant is still open it will soon be making way for the 126 Cape Kitchen and Cafe. The restaurant is what I am really excited about as they have a very unique menu concept planned. Moving away from the traditional courses of starters, mains and desserts, the new menu will be grouped into dishes evoking sensations or textures. The presentation of the new dishes are equally inspiring and evocative. And there are rumours of tea parings to go with every meal.
