Jaguar Type 01 drives iconic Monaco circuit
Jaguar Type 01. A distinctive new wrap for the Monaco circuit. A showcase like no other for the new luxury four-door GT.
Type 01 prototypes lap the Monaco circuit ahead of the E-Prix on 16 May as Jaguar enters a new electric era.
Sainte-Dévote. Casino Square. La Rascasse. Famous motorsport landmarks set the backdrop for a new dramatic Type 01 silhouette.

Prototypes appear in a distinctive camouflage wrap that forms an artistic interpretation of the Jaguar brand. The signature strikethrough motif is paired with straight and circular monolithic strokes - a unique juxtaposition brought to life through the brand’s vibrant colours.
Jaguar has a rich heritage in the Principality. The streets of Monte Carlo, home to success throughout its history – most recently in 2024 with Formula E victory for Jaguar TCS Racing.
Type 01 development has been directly enhanced by technology proven on track by the World Championship winning all-electric team. Expert know-how helping to finesse an electric car that drives like no other.

Type 01’s instinctive responses are fine-tuned using learnings from Jaguar TCS Racing’s all-wheel drive control software and fast-switching silicon carbide-powered inverters, making Type 01 a truly composed yet powerful modern GT.
Regenerative braking, range and fast-charging capability are also enhanced on Type 01 by technology developed on track.
The Type 01 name was revealed ahead of the past weekend’s E-Prix. The Type 01 name appears on the strikethrough motif where the bonnet meets the windscreen. Bold linear graphics. A signature of future Jaguar.
'Type' naming is synonymous with Jaguar, first appearing on the Le Mans race-winning C-type of 1951. On the road, it came to represent two characters in one car: an engaging drive with deep reserves of power, plus refinement and composure. The E-type and the more recent F-TYPE are exemplars.
In Jaguar Type 01, the '0' represents electric propulsion and zero tailpipe emissions; '1' denotes its status as the first Jaguar of a new era. Designed, developed and built in the heart of the UK.

Jaguar’s new luxury four-door GT will be revealed later this year. Its exuberant modernist design, pioneering technology and instinctive driving dynamics will underpin future Jaguar models. Deep reserves of power. Refined comfort. Two characters in one car.
