Jetour owners build all-terrain confidence at adventure day in KwaZulu Natal
KwaZulu Natal Jetour Owners Club customers were treated to a 4x4 Adventure Day earlier this month at KZN TCON adventure track, a training facility situated in Inchanga between Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
Featuring lush green hills, and access to the famous Valley of 1000 Hills, this destination is known as a must-visit 4X4 trail for off-road enthusiasts, with a variety of purpose-built, off-road areas catering to different skill levels.
Over two days, 30 customers driving Jetour T1 and T2 XWD models, along with teams from eight KwaZulu Natal dealerships, were given the opportunity to test the capability of both themselves as drivers and their vehicles.
Training covered 4x4 theory, driving modes, vehicle settings, recovery techniques and practical route driving, which included rocky terrain, loose gravel, steep inclines and descents.
The Crawl Control Mode on the T-Series performed particularly well, automatically managing the vehicle’s speed over difficult terrain and giving drivers greater control and confidence behind the wheel.
Available on the T1 and T2 XWD derivatives, these systems form part of the T-Series’ suite of off-road technology. The intelligent XWD system automatically distributes power between the front and rear wheels to provide traction where it is needed. Crawl control maintains a low, controlled speed over demanding terrain, allowing the driver to concentrate on steering, while hill descent control automatically manages braking to help the vehicle negotiate steep declines safely and steadily. These four-wheel drive T-Series derivatives also offer a rear differential lock, generous ground clearance and approach and departure angles to support driving across rough and uneven terrain.

Selectable driving modes also adapt how the vehicle responds to different surfaces and conditions. These include Standard, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand and Rock.
The Jetour Owners Club, officially launched last May, enables members to attend unique experiences, benefit from exclusive discounts and tailored deals on merchandise and accessories. Events such as this 4X4 training day, provide T2 and T1 XWD owners with more insight about their vehicle’s capabilities, and how to use the different drivetrain modes in the vehicle when in an off-road setting.
The training was equally valuable for the participating dealerships, providing dealer teams with first-hand product knowledge that they can use when demonstrating and explaining the vehicles to customers. Dealers also gained practical insight into planning and hosting future 4x4 experiences.
