June is Adopt a Cat Month. If you've been on the fence about welcoming a feline into your home, consider this your sign.
Cats are well-known for choosing their humans rather than the other way around. Which makes June the perfect month to visit TEARS Animal Rescue in Fish Hoek and let one of their resident cats make up their mind about you.
Every cat and kitten at TEARS has a backstory they could have done without: rescued from neglect, abuse, or a life on the street. What they're looking for now is straightforward: a quiet corner, a warm lap and someone to call their own.
And the timing has never been better. June also marks Cat World Domination Day on the 24th. Proof — as if any were needed — that cats have always known exactly what they're worth. And probably the reason why it's said that dogs have owners, while cats have staff.
Adoption is R1200 and includes everything your new family member needs to get started.
