Kia South Africa has partnered with FORBES WOMAN AFRICA as the official vehicle partner to its annual Leading Women Summit and Awards, which takes place on 8 March 2023 – International Women’s Day – at SunBet Arena, Times Square in Pretoria. Kia will avail a fleet of its flagship SUV, the Sorento, and its stylish Carnival MPV to ensure that speakers at the summit are transported safely and in comfort to and from the summit.
“Kia started off 2023 by reinforcing its commitment to making its workforce more representative of our nation to continue to be fully in tune with the South African way of life. One of the ways we’re achieving this is through diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives that include women empowerment, which includes celebrating the integral role women play in driving change and empowerment in the business world,”
comments Gary Scott, CEO of Kia South Africa.
“Our partnership with the FORBES WOMAN AFRICA Leading Women Summit is a strategic, but also a natural alignment. Kia believes that movement creates the space to find inspiration and fresh perspectives, which is critical to taking any step towards changing our world for the better. By facilitating the movement of these global change leaders, we hope to create some space for inspired thinking.”
The FORBES WOMAN AFRICA Leading Women Summit – now in its eighth year – will tackle a series of hard-hitting topics around the theme Women 3.0: The Icons and Ideas Shaping Africa. These topics – which range from wealth to Web 3.0 and mining to fintech, agritech and climate resilience – will be debated and discussed by industry leaders.
“The 8th edition of the FORBES WOMAN AFRICA Leading Women Summit is already on track to become one of our most dynamic events as we welcome an illustrious speaker line-up to the stage,”
comments Renuka Methil, Managing Editor, FORBES AFRICA.
“Considering the socio- economic challenges as a result of the pandemic, there is a lot we’re having to navigate. This summit is the ideal space to gain inspiration and guidance from those who are not only navigating these challenges but forging new paths for our future generation of female leaders.”
