“Knowing our work is recognised on this level cements the fact that our designs are in fact world-class and this does not only occur on projects offshore, to have the design of key spaces in our own country rivaling some of the most admired design spaces in the world is a celebrated moment”, says Du Plessis.
Tristan’s influence however does not stop within the world of local and international interior architecture and design. During the course of 2017 Tristan has received two of the highest accolades for his personal style. Receiving an award from GQ as one of South Africa’s best dressed men of 2017 and being honored with an SA Style Award for most stylish SA designer.
“Style in our time is so multifaceted that we have much more freedom to express ourselves than before. Style has evolved past just echoing trends and has become an individualistic expression of ones aspirations and culture. I like to echo this in my designs as well, being flexible and ever evolving in my design ethos”, says Du Plessis.
