This allows everyone to enjoy this haven for kids between the of two and 12. It is jam packed activities and interactive areas and boast activities ranging from Africa's biggest jungle gym, Crabby Beach (a giant sandpit) and Polly's Paint Pen (painting paradise) to the Splish Splash Sprinkler Island, Cast-Aways (show time stage area), Delia’s Kitchen, and so much more.
Across uShaka, we’ll be going all out to share the good vibes for the entire romantic weekend, kick starting on Friday, February 14th. Our local cupids will be gifting couples with some sweet treats from 12 noon to 4pm and, then, if you are up to it, you can even enjoy some free sexy tango dance lessons.
As an added bonus for those who book to enjoy the ultimate romantic Valentine’s celebration dinner at the Cargo Hold is an opportunity to explore the aquarium after dark free of charge.
Our culinary team at the Cargo Hold will pull at your heartstrings with a delicious February Valentine menu. Select one of the following starters - salmon, avocado and beetroot timbale (beetroot, avocado, beet cured salmon trout, baby greens with beetroot puree), vegetarian duo camembert and brie (black and white sesame seed crusted fried camembert and brie cheese, prosciutto, toasted walnuts, green fig preserve), harissa chicken (fragrant chicken strips, baby leaf salad, cumin cucumber yoghurt dressing) or another wild mushroom ravioli (mushroom ravioli, asparagus spears parmesan crème).
Take a short break and enjoy a palette cleansing sorbet before tucking in some fabulous mains which include slow roasted lamb ( Mediterranean vegetables, slow pot roasted lamb, pea puree, creamed potato, lamb jus), the fish of the day (grilled line fish, roasted cherry basil tomatoes, basmati rice and chips), cupids prawns (grilled queen prawns, basmati rice, chips, peri-peri or lemon butter sauce), glazed chicken leg and breast (glazed & roasted confit chicken leg, seared breast, fragrant mushroom linguini pasta, Sichuan pepper cream) or a vegetarian sundried tomato arancini (sundried tomato, mozzarella stuffed rice balls, courgette fingers, balsamic reduction, mozzarella, basil crisp, roasted garlic).
The ultimate end to a fine romantic dinner is sharing one of the Cargo Hold’s decadent desserts – a rich chocolate dessert, lemon & basil curd cheesecake, strawberry sorbet or a white chocolate vanilla pod Pannacotta, rosemary biscuit, rooibos foam, toasted marshmallow
