MAGIC, ADVENTURE AND MAYHEM FOR CHIDLREN AT STER-KINEKOR THIS MARCH

Children battling a medieval menace; an amusement park run by animals; and an epic re-imagining of Dumbo the flying elephant make March a magical month for children at Ster-Kinekor cinemas.

Wonder Park, the story of a fantasy amusement park that comes to life, is the feature at this month's Screenplay event for kids. At a special screening on Sunday 10thMarch starting from 11:00, children can while away an hour taking part in fun activities, before the film whisks them away to an imagined world from 12:00.

Screenplay will be held at the following Ster-Kinekor cinemas: Baywest, Blueroute, Cavendish, Centurion (Kids cinema), Cresta, Fourways (Kids cinema), Eastgate, East Rand Mall (Kids Cinema), Gateway, I’langa, Irene, Mall of Africa, Sandton, Tygervalley, Watercrest and Wonderpark. So, for kids, this Sunday morning is sorted!

Wonder Park

June is a wildly creative girl with a huge imagination, which she uses to create a fantasy amusement park unlike any otherNot only are the rides amazing and death-defying, but the whole park is run by animals – including a porcupine safety officer. Like all children, June grows up and leaves her world of imagination behind. But one day, she stumbles across the ruins of her park, and all the creatures who inhabit it – including a bunch of extremely naughty chimpanzombies, who make things rather dangerous.  Catch Wonder Park at the Screenplay event on 10 March, or see it when in releases to 2D, 3D & D-Box from 15 March.

The Kid Who Would Be King

It's tough being a kid in 2019, as Alex and his friends know well. But everything changes when he pulls a sword out of a stone, and the wizard Merlin – in the guise of an older schoolboy – comes to find him. Now Alex, his friends and even his enemies must unite as knights on an epic quest to defend the world from the return of a medieval menace. Releases 20 March in 2D.

But when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer. Tim Burton's haunting re-imagining of the classic tale releases 29 March to 2D, 3D, D-Box & IMAX.
