Makro is Green
South African warehouse retail store giants Makro, are making a global impact with their new green way of doing business.
Today on a visit to their flagship store in Woodmead I was quite surprised to see solar panels being installed all throughout their parking lot.
The reason behind this, is to reduce their gas emissions and carbon footprint.
Since the installation of solar panels at their Carnival store parking lot, they have reduced their CO2 emission by 192,861 kg’s, saved 105,197 kg’s of coal and 266,888 litres of water.
Well done Makro, this is why we love ZA.
