With Spring already here and Level 1 of the Lockdown looming, South Africans who have been stuck at home for the last six months, probably cannot wait to get out and elevate their journey.

And what better vehicle to go out and experience new life in Spring with Summer around the corner than a state-of-the-art SUV…

Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has gone to great lengths to bring its range of popular, powerful and luxury compact and full-size sport utility vehicles in its range within reach of its loyal customer base and new buyers.

“We have extended our range of special offers into Spring, including no-deposit deals, R70 000 deal assistance offers and a R65 000 discount on one of our most popular models to date,” says Nic Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors SA (MMSA).

One of the vehicles in the Mitsubishi stable that lured a younger Mitsubishi buyer, including young professionals, is the latest Eclipse Cross in the form of the new 1.5-litre turbo-charged petrol derivative. The Eclipse Cross 1.5 TURBO is the first car in the range to be powered by the new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo engine – designed and built to “impress and excite every time, all the time”.

Virtually identical to its 2.0-litre big brother, the new Eclipse Cross 1.5 TURBO boasts the same advanced “DYNAMIC SHIELD” front-end design, as well as sporty and dynamic looks.

“Many buyers are taking advantage of our 0% deposit offer to get behind the wheel of this compact SUV,” says Campbell, adding that the list price of R449 995 has remained unchanged in spite of volatile exchange markets.

“With the traditional annual holiday season around the corner, our special offers have been extended throughout, including a new exclusive offer of a R65 000 saving on one of our other stalwarts, the Pajero Sport 4x2 Auto,” says Campbell.

Customers looking for the king of the Dakar in the 1990s and 2000s, the Pajero Sport 4x4, will appreciate its easier affordability thanks to a R70 000 deal assistance offer on the current flagship.

Another Mitsubishi Motors SA shining star, the new Triton Extreme, carries a value package of over R100 000, including wheels, unique badging, tow bar, smart-phone packages, exterior protective kit to help shield the body and equipment such as light lenses front and back, and various other items.

“MMSA hit the ground running once Lockdown regulations were eased, and with Level 1 around the corner as South Africa gets ready for the end of the year, we are looking forward to launching various new models soon,” says Campbell.

One of the highlights is the arrival of the new Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed, an addition to the range, bring the product offering of Mitsubishi’s flagship SUV range to three distinctive models.

“The Exceed has a few aces up its sleeve, and customers will be introduced to the newcomer and its upgraded siblings by the end of September,” promises Campbell.

  • Early in the new year, Mitsubishi Motors South Africa will welcome another newcomer to the Mitsubishi stable – the brand-new Xpander, a “family-friendly crossover MPV” expected in the first quarter of 2021.

“Plans have not been finalised for the rest of the year, but at this stage we can confirm that a new Triton is also on the cards,” concludes Campbell.
