MORE SPEC, MORE SAFETY, MORE FUN FOR THE TOYOTA RUMION

Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is excited to introduce the latest round of updates to one of its most loved people movers, the Toyota Rumion. The 2025 model brings meaningful improvements in safety, convenience and styling, making it an even stronger contender for families and commuters who value space, comfort and efficiency.

Exterior Enhancements

From the outside, the Rumion looks more purposeful than before. The roof has been extended by 120mm, the pillars are now 22mm wider, and the rear overhang grows by 40mm – changes that not only refine the silhouette but also enhance practicality.

A new rear bumper and redesigned rear combination lamps complete the refreshed look, while a roof-end spoiler and roof-side spoiler are now standard across the range. These updates build on the already bold black mesh grille introduced previously, giving the Rumion a confident presence on the road.

Supplemented Safety

Safety takes a significant step forward in 2025. All models now come equipped with Side and Curtain Airbags, and the third-row benefits from three headrests instead of two. The second-row centre seatbelt has also been upgraded to a full three-point configuration, reinforcing Toyota’s commitment to keeping families secure.

Interior Improvements

Inside, everyday convenience has been elevated. For 2025, the SX also gains a Type-C charging port in the second row, making it easier for passengers to stay connected. The TX Grade goes even further with new Type-C charging sockets in both the second and third rows.

Poised Powerplant

Under the bonnet, the Rumion retains Toyota’s reliable 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder engine, delivering 77kW and 138Nm. Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, depending on the grade. Fuel consumption remains impressively low at 6.2 l/100km, with CO₂ emissions of 146 to 147g/km and top speeds of 175 km/h for the manual and 170 km/h for the automatic.

Drivers can also choose from a vibrant selection of exterior colours, including Mystic Pearl White, Premier Liquid Silver, Azure Blue, Seal Grey Metallic, Autumn Blaze Red, Cedar Brown and Shadow Black Pearl.

Summary

With smarter safety, fresher styling and thoughtful convenience upgrades, the 2025 Toyota Rumion continues to deliver the practicality and value South Africans love – now with even more refinement built in.
