Replay Autumn Winter 2019: SILVERLAKE effect
The new Autumn Winter 2019 Replay collection is inspired by the cool neighbourhood of Silverlake in Los Angeles where a mix of ethnic styles, cultures, music and sport come together.
Similarly, the research and innovation that have always characterized the Replay brand are brought to a whole new level in this new AW19 collection, starting with the Hyperflex technology. Hyperflex technology is also used in the sports world, in chinos and shirts, in the ICE BLAST TREATMENT (an eco-friendly wash that keeps the colours vivid without wasting water), in LASER PAINT, in the true art of denim and in the STAY FRESH TREATMENT in sweatshirts.
The new collection includes more basic pieces and natural fibres.
DENIM COLLECTION There are multiple focuses within the denim collection:
_ICE BLAST: the eco-friendly wash, traditionally used in the menswear, and now available for the women’s wear, testifies to the strong attention of the brand towards the environment. It is a low environmental impact treatment, made with ice crystals, which preserves the brightness of the colours. It saves 80% of the water typically used in traditional wash treatments and can be applied to both stretch and non-stretch fabrics, always guaranteeing a vivid indigo colour.
_AGED: denim for men with a deep vintage flavour, available in different treatments and degrees of ageing, from one to five years up to ten and twenty years, from lightly distressed to completely faded, abraded and mended denim, signalling the wear and tear of time. These different treatments are applied to a single fabric: the power stretch in blue indigo.
_LASERPAINT: an artisanal treatment with a handmade feel, available only in denim for women, in striped colours or animal print. Craftsmanship is the keyword in this feminine capsule.
The denim collection now includes MILLENIAL BLACK and ICE DYE. The black denim par excellence is available in a new power stretch fabric for men and is available in three different shades of black for women. For ice dying: the ice colour is obtained with the ICE DYE wash.
The BLUE BLACK OVER DYED treatment creates a smoky velvet blue colour which is a dusty blue given by black over-dying.)
The STRETCH SELVEDGE denim models are perfect for admirers of the denim fabric. The premium part of the collection and authentic DNA of the brand is the MAESTRO collection that has strong fabrics enriched with studs, leather inserts and embroidery.
The Hyperflex technology is now used in the CHINO menswear, which is also available in the shorts version and for the first time is now available for women. In the non-denim world, the chino trousers are available in gabardine and cotton twill, with an updated fit and sporty sidebands.
The bestsellers for MEN (such as the Anbass) welcome the new five-pocket model with drawstring at the waist. The range of shorts and denim jackets has also been expanded.
The bestsellers for WOMEN feature the skinny high-waist model available in seven different wash styles, including dusty and pastel colours, the skinny and super skinny LUZ bestseller in 14 different washes with zippers on both the pockets and the ankle, the SLIM in a plain version or with silver or sporty sidebands, the high-waist STRAIGHT and the FLARE, more tailor-made, and also available in modal (this is shiny, highwaisted and very ‘seventies’.)
The divided skirt is not to go unnoticed, already featuring in a pleated version for the FW18 season and now in smooth white denim, a truly bleached midi skirt. The boy-fit is now available with new fashion accents – hem ruffles, cropped flare, boot-cut with laces and boy-fit with studs on the pockets, cropped culottes with an irregular hem.
The women’s wear collection boasts new chinos and denim jackets, among which the ICE BLAST oversized jacket stands out with its bright colours and sequins on the sleeves. There are also overall shorts, regular shorts with fleece inserts, and a long denim dress with front and back slits in an OCEAN BLUE colour with a waist belt and mandarin collar.
The HYPERFLEX + is also available in new washes.
WOMENSWEAR BLACK HOLIDAY
A mood that strongly contrasts colours and fabrics and focuses on sports-inspired garments such as the high-waist triacetate skirt. Brave new black and white combinations: leather shorts with defined details combined with very bright chiffon shirts, t-shirts with lurex embroidery, coated lasered denim styled with a boxy organza shirt, white skirts in tulle combined with mesh lace sweatshirts, shirtdresses with maxi decorations and dresses in crinkle cotton.
SPORT DELUXE / TECHNICAL FLEECE
The fleece fabric is used across several lines like the sweatshirt embellished with pearls and embroidery, with bon-ton details that are suitable for all occasions and is also combined with an elegant dress to play it down and appeal to youngsters. Trousers in technical fleece with various patterns (floral, solid colour with a sideband) are new this season. Completing the sporty look are unisex technical nylon jackets with logos on the back and contrasting zippers featuring the custom Replay ribbons.
CUSTOMIZED ICONS
The military world is refreshed with new colours and details from the sports world like sidebands. The patterned bomber jacket with pearl details and the long dress with a plunging neckline embellished with chains complete this collection. Standing out in this theme are cargo trousers with embroidered and frill details; the military jacket refined with camo ruffled sleeves and jewelled buttons; the butterfly embroidered denim in shades of white and high-waist hot pants with a matching eyelet-lace maxi shirt.
PARADISE COVE
Named after the Malibu district, this part of the collection reflects a gipsy spirit and is characterized by allover prints and the following garments: kimonos with delicate patterns, lurex sweatshirts, animal-print shirts, leather jackets with contrasting colours and sporty cuffs, viscose shirts/dresses with country-style printing. Key pieces of the collection: striped shirts, revisited with a particular square neckline on the back and bow closure on the sleeves.
FOCUS TENCEL: the long belted shirt, the shirtdress and the long dress show how soft and comfortable this material is to the touch and how it lends itself to use on different garments and constructions.
FOCUS CHINOS HYPERFLEX: the Hyper chinos feature in two fits: one being a more classic fit in non-stretch fabric and another being a slim fit in satin stretch fabric.
MENSWEAR BLACK HOLIDAY
This theme in the menswear plays with shades of black, t-shirts with rock prints, marble washes and enzyme washes with a final salt and pepper effect that is also available in knitwear.
SPORT DELUXE / TECHNICAL FLEECE
The athleisure world is also emphasized in menswear: in addition to the technical jacket in various colours and the satin bomber jacket, the must-have item in the Replay collections that youngsters will especially like is the sporty bomber jacket. Key item: the coach jacket proposed in both the basic and the customized versions. Sweatshirts galore: short-sleeved, destroyed, with sports details and in triacetate.
STAY FRESH FACTOR sweatshirts are an absolute novelty within the collection: cotton sweatshirts with a clean look and a sturdy feel are breathable thanks to an enzyme treatment providing a fresh effect that also preserves its structure.
CUSTOMIZED ICON
The military world is enriched with embroidery (from butterflies to barbed wire), patches and sporty stripes, which are featured across the collection. Cargo pants come with sporty bands and patches. The predominant colours used are sand and military green, with a prevailing army fit.
PARADISE COVE
The leading shirts in this collection are available in various shades and versions like: a yarn-dyed herringbone effect, a Western-style, a short-sleeved shirt with cotton jersey long sleeves underneath for Millennials, ethnic shirts, paisley prints and miniature patterns as well as plaid shirts, that are all authentically Replay. The soft suede biker jacket stands out with its tone-on-tone bandana lining. Marble wash t-shirts are styled with biker aesthetics like genuine leather pockets, studs and bright colours that are well balanced by pastel shades, in a 100% natural enzyme-washed viscose fabric. There are also regular fit polo shirts with 100% cotton piqué fabric, stretch slim-fit piqué polo shirts, knitwear (including zipper sweaters, cardigans and granddad sweaters) , that are all enzyme washed for a unique used effect.
