Now a stop off at uShaka Marine World will have a whole new meaning!

The MONOPOLY Durban Edition, which features Durban’s iconic marine theme park and one of the anchors of the city’s legendary Golden Mile will be in stores for Christmas.
uShaka Marine World’s relationship with Monopoly began last year when South Africans voted it as one of the key national destinations to be included on the South African edition of the global board game.
MONOPOLY first came out in 1935 and, since then, it has been played by more than 500 million people in 111 countries and in 43 different languages. Over the past few years, numerous regional country versions of Monopoly have been produced. Monopoly owners,Winning Moves, UK, announced that they’d be compiling a Durban version in May this year and have worked around the clock on the board design and production to get it ready for the 2017 festive season.
uShaka’s Monopoly neighbours will include the likes of Kingsmead, Kings Park, The Pavilion Shopping Centre, The Oyster Box and many more.
Celebrating the launch of localised Monopoly, uShaka Marine World CEO, Stella Khumalo, said that half the fun was playing a game where one could land on landmarks that were a part of the Durban lifestyle with which we are all familiar.
“uShaka was created as the kingpin of the Point Waterfront precinct so we are quite at home with being regarded as an integral part of the Durban property game. We also pride ourselves in forging strong relationships with other key stakeholders in the Durban tourism sector so we are well acquainted with our neighbours both on the Monopoly board and off,” she joked.
The MONOPOLY Durban Edition will be available at the CNA, Toy Kingdom, Musica, Typo, Exclusive Books, Takealot, Loot.com and Toy Zone.
