Watch a rare sighting of sharks circling a bait ball at Azura Benguerra in Mozambique
On a recent diving trip at Azura Benguerra Island in Mozambique, the retreat’s manager Jason, caught an exciting and rare activity of small fish, tuna and sharks on camera. For a few minutes prior to the footage, the guests and staff on the boat were looking down into the water from inside the boat, not sure of the commotion that was taking place underwater. Jason then decided to put on his snorkelling glasses and jump into the ocean to have a look. To his surprise, he saw a bait ball of small fish being attacked by tuna, a very rare and yet phenomenal sighting. A few minutes later while he was still capturing the auspicious moment on camera, he saw a school of sharks heading towards the bait ball. They were rather large bull sharks and he caught this on camera too before rushing back to the boat.
