These luxury travel products are handmade with Thandana's own exclusive range of fabrics. The fabrics are trendy, fashionable, versatile, and water resistant, and are laminated to extend the lifetime of the products. The laminated fabric combined with genuine Bovine South African leather means its durability will make the Thandana piece last for years.
Thandana means to love one another in Zulu, which is embodied in their team of 20 skilled artisan labourers who are based in Durban and from nearby local communities in Zululand.
To celebrate 10 years the Thandana Bag Co manufactured 100 limited edition units - Thandana 10 Year Sling (T10YSling).
It has been an absolute honour to receive number 018 of 100 of these limited edition stylish sling bags, which has actually become amongst my favourite bags to use.
As someone who is low maintenance - carrying only the bare essentials - I prefer a small, light, sling bag that is held close to me (for security reasons) and my Thandana bag fits this description whilst remaining stylish with almost any outfit that I wear.
The bag is genuine bovine leather throughout, which is lined inside with a custom made Thandana logo lining, and has a gold adjuster on the 1.25m shoulder strap with 2 gold clips for detaching.
For easy storage there is:
- 4 inner card slots
- 2 separate side gold YKK zip compartments with leather pulleys for coins and notes
- An inner compartment with gold magnetic stud for your ID, passport, or cellphone
- Another compartment at the back of the sling with an inner zip compartment as well
