Peoples Theatre is delighted to stage THE FROG PRINCE and other fantastic stories for a limited season from 2 – 21 September 2025.
Get ready to be transported to a world of wonder and magic as Peoples Theatre Productions presents a classic magical tale, this captivating adaptation of the classic fairy tale, THE FROG PRINCE, along with other delightful fairy tales, compiled and joined together with some of your favourite sing-a-long songs, it is sure to be a treat!
In this enchanting production, a spoiled princess makes a promise to a mysterious frog who turns out to be a handsome prince under a wicked witch's spell. As the princess and the frog form an unlikely friendship, she learns valuable lessons about kindness, empathy, and the true meaning of beauty.This timeless story highlights the importance of looking beyond appearances and treating others with kindness and respect.
What sets this production apart is its interactive nature, where audience members become an integral part of the storytelling process, taking part while in the audience, and if chosen, on stage as well! This immersive experience of interactive theatre is designed to educate and entertain, making it the perfect event for families and young audiences.
Featuring wonderful music, a beautiful set, and exquisite costumes, The Frog Prince and other Fantastic Stories promises to leave audiences of all ages amazed and delighted.
This production is a testament to the power of theatre-in-education and bringing classic tales to life in a way that is both fun and thought-provoking.
Meet the fabulous cast who will play various roles in the show.
Luciano Zuppa
Luciano started his professional career almost 42 years ago at the famed No 58 Theatre Restaurant in Hillbrow in the cabaret revues It’s Still Rock ‘n Roll To Us, Beatles in Season and Bless My Soul It’s Rock ‘n Roll. Since then, he has sung, danced and acted his way through musicals performing in cabaret shows, plays and musical theatre. His career has taken him on tours all over South Africa and around the world. Luciano has starred in many Peoples Theatre productions as he has a love for children’s musical theatre and has enjoyed leading roles in Seussical the Musical, Shrek, My Son Pinocchio and many more in recent years.
Thokozani TK Jiyane
Thokozani Jiyane is a Musical Theatre trained performer from the Tshwane University of Technology. He is notable for being a two-time Naledi Theatre Award nominee, with over a decade of experience in professional stage and television performance. His extensive stage work includes performances at various prominent theatres, such as the Soweto Theatre, South African State Theatre, National Children's Theatre, Peoples Theatre at the Jo'burg Theatre, Teatro at Monte Casino, and the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town. In addition to his theatrical achievements, Thokozani has appeared in multiple television commercials for brands like African Bank, MTN, Wimpy, AVBOB etc. He is also involved as a songwriter and voice artist for Takalani Sesame.
Noluthando Mathebula
Noluthando, is a singer, dancer and actress who recently graduated from Oakfield’s College with a diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance. This triple threat performer participated in many productions such as; Reflections (2023) as well as Naledi nominated productions ‘Nesting Flight’ (2022) and ‘Sister Act: The Musical’ (2022) - for which she earned her Naledi nomination for Best Performance in a Student Theatre Production. Straight out of college she performed in ‘Momo’s Magical Adventure’ (2023/24) in Sandton City and She recently starred in VR Theatrical’s ‘The Jungle Book’ (2025) as Mowgli at the Pieter Toerien Theatre in Montecasino.
Raymond Skinner
Raymond, is an actor and aspiring singer/songwriter who started his performance journey, at the age of 16, with the show Beauty and the Beast Jr. at the Peoples Theatre in 2018. He has since performed in multiple musical theatre productions at the Peoples Theatre and played the role of Jesus in Oakfields College’s production of Godspell (2024). He’s also received a Naledi award nomination for his performances as Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical Jr. (2023) and won the award for Best Actor in a Children’s Production for his portrayal of Aladdin in Aladdin Jr. (2024) both at the People’s Theatre.
