#TheAlbum9 A Soulful Fusion
A performance worth the standing ovation it received.
I remember growing up listening to Tima Reece on the radio, singing her debut hit single "Crazy 'Bout You". Being a man, you don't really openly announce that you used to sing a teen pop song, but this was one song that you could not help singing along too, every time you heard it. Now in 2016, to be sitting in the front row watching her live was all too surreal for me.
With the amazing collaboration of The CoLab Network and BluBerry Entertainment and the performance from the star, Tima Reece, of her new songs from the album entitled "9" the overall event was phenomenal.
The title track "9", "Jazz Eyes" and "Gone" had us wanting to get up on stage to dance; whereas songs like "Be Right Here" (which she dedicated to her sons) and "Starlight" (which she sang in memory of the late Eddie Zondi) had us swaying in our seats. These are just some of the emotions you can expect to feel while listening to her new album.
“9” is a fusion of R&B, Soul, Pop and Trap with the nine-track album exploring relationship dynamics including love, loss and most importantly, the resurrection of hope.
Tima shared a story with us about a time when she and Kurt were on their way to church and were listening to Eddie Zondi on Metro FM (two weeks before he passed away) when Eddie announced on the station that if Tima was listening he hoped that she would bring out some new music soon.
With the inspirational words from the late Eddie Zondi and her drive to leave her children a legacy she turned what was going to be just a single track release to a full album with remixes, a video and an album launch.
