Tintswalo at Waterfall Introduces ‘Tapas & Jazz’ Sunday Lunch
Renowned luxury countryside hotel, Tintswalo at Waterfall offers locals and visitors a toe-tapping culinary experience close to the centre of Johannesburg, yet far away from the madding crowd.

The ‘Tintswalo Tapas & Jazz’ event takes place every first Sunday of the month from 12:30 – 16:00 in the hotel lounge, bar and patio area, as well as the lawns on summer days. Priced at R695 per couple, it includes a wide selection of tapas, a bottle of house wine and musical entertainment courtesy of jazz band Blue Velvet.
The event was introduced to offer guests a fun Sunday lunch experience, combining a relaxing location with delectable food and wine – accompanied with the mellow sounds of jazz. The menu, which changed on a monthly basis, includes platters of starters, mains and desserts, paired with a bottle of red or white house wine (or without wine, at R480 per couple).
The starter platter features a selection of delicious bites, such as Grilled Apricot with whipped Camembert and Prosciutto; and Sesame Seared Tuna served with Pickled Ginger, Avocado Mousse, and Ponzu Pipette, followed by a refreshing palate cleanser of Lemonade, Floral Ice, Blue Berry and Cassis. Mains may include a bite size selection such as Risotto with Mushroom Textures, Goats Cheese and Truffle; Crab with Cucumber Variations, Watermelon, Lemon Marmalade and Edible flowers; and Beef fillet with Herb Crust, Asparagus and Hollandaise Spheres; ending off on a sweet note with a Trio of Pear, Coconut, Cherry.
