Which websites have we visited the most over the past 29 years?
Eeagli have put together a very interesting infographic for the most visited websites from January 1993 to January 2022. The information used to create the visual is sourced from SEMRush, Google Analytics, Statista, Internet Archive, and Corporate Reports.
The graph starts with AOL, Prodigy, Compuserve, Bloomberg, IMDB, Apple, MTV, Yahoo, Netscape, and Infoseek. Yahoo being the only website which remained in the Top 10 up until 2022, with 9 new competitors. Many of the companies featured in he infographic have either evolved or focused on building better apps than a website, while others have completely falling off the radar or closed down.
It will be interesting to see what 2023 will look like.
