It’s time to get your running shoes on for JARRYDS Kudos to the Cause social run/walk in support of TEARS Animal Rescue on Thursday, 26 March 2026, in Sea Point.
This hugely successful and fun event has taken place once a month since January.
JARRYDS kindly donates R50 to TEARS Animal Rescue for every participant, and you’ll get a free coffee and a chance to cuddle some real cuties after the run!
The more runners and walkers who take part, the more animals TEARS Animal Rescue can help.
Let’s see how many of us we can get running, walking or shuffling the 5km course this month!

On Saturday, 28 March 2026, dress up and join the annual Just Nuisance walk from Long Beach in Simon’s Town, starting at 10 am, registration is from 9:30.
It costs R50 to enter, and all proceeds go to TEARS Animal Rescue.
The route is about 1,1km long to Jubilee Square to see the famous Just Nuisance statue.
Dress up (not compulsory), take part and stand a chance to win some lucky draw prizes.
Many TEARS dogs will also be out enjoying the morning.
Don’t forget National Take a Walk in the Park Day on Monday, 30 March, another brilliant excuse to stretch your legs and take a TEARS Animal Rescue dog along for the walk.

If you prefer cats, then take note of TEARS Animal Rescue’s Catapoolza adoption day on Sunday, 29 March 2026.
Here’s your chance to see – and fall in love – with one of the many little kittens TEARS has at their cattery.
TEARS currently has 40 to 50 kittens ready for forever homes.
TEARS is offering a two-for-one deal: pay one adoption fee and get two kittens.
Kittens are much happier and better together, as they have a friend to play with, hang out with, bond with, and sleep with.
Kittens are much more confident if they have a friend.
Consider adopting one, or two! of the special little kittens looking for love from TEARS this March.
