BBC Kids to launch in South Africa

BBC Studios today announced that it has partnered with Switch Media and MTN to launch BBC Kids in South Africa from September 1st 2022.
Downloadable via the App Store or Play Store, the BBC Kids app will offer inspiring, educational and entertaining BBC content for families and children aged 0-12 and will be available to MTN customers via a flexible daily, weekly or monthly subscription.

The BBC’s award-winning children’s programming will be ad free and carefully curated according to age with sections specifically aimed at pre-school children and another for older primary school children, making the service easy to navigate and one that parents can trust.
Award-winning pre-school series such as Hey Duggee, Sarah & Duck, JoJo & Gran Gran, Yakka Dee and Swashbuckle, will be available to watch for the youngest viewers, whilst older kids and their families can look forward to Jamie Johnson and Harry Potter: A History of Magic and The Bagel and Becky Show, educational series, Horrible Histories and hilarious comedy based on the best-selling David Walliam’s book, Gangsta Granny.

The family friendly app provides a safe space for children to enjoy an abundance of amazing BBC kids content, anytime, anywhere from a connected device. And because it’s all ad-free and child friendly content, parents can be rest assured that it’s all safe learning and laughter with their trusty BBC buddies!
