Green Chilli, Macon and Cheese Egg Bake

Recipe for GREEN CHILLI, MACON AND CHEESE EGG BAKE!

 

Ingredients

  • Two green chillies, dried
  • 30 grams grated sharp cheddar cheese – 1 cup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 strips macon, cooked and crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the chillies’ and cheese. Gently spread that into the prepared dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour and salt. Pour over the chillies’ and cheese. Sprinkle the macon on top.
  4. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until bubbling and the eggs are cooked through. Tests with a toothpick to come out clean.

Notes:

  • Try using a combination of cheddar and mozzarella.
  • If you’d like, you can cut the recipe in half and use an 8X8 dish.
