No family is perfect. Every family has their own set of problems, but the most important thing is that even through all their issues the family still remains together.

3 Days To Go has a positive message for South African families portrayed through the lives of the Isaac family.

A party is being planned by the family in their hometown Durban, when tragedy hits - the four siblings lose their father to an unexpected heart-attack.

The story begins with Janet (Leeanda Reddy) breaking the news to her three siblings Riki (Rahul Brijnath), Melissa (Jailoshini Naidoo), and Amy (Kajal Bagwandeen).

Janet is deciding to get married to her boyfriend Oliver (Jonathan Boynton-Lee), while trying to deal with her teenage daughter Kiara (Kiara Govender)

Riki is a gambling addict in deep debt, who even though he owes lots of money to local gangster Babes (Tumi Morake) is still betting on horses at the race-course at the time his sister calls him with the news.

Melissa was married, then divorced but re-married the man who she divorced, Calvin (Pranesh Maharaj). The couple have a daughter Candice (Zakeeya Patel), who has two kids of her own, and they all live together in Johannesburg.

Amy is a trophy wife who is having marital problems and is currently in Paris when she receives the news of her father's death.

The story unfolds over the next 3 days as the siblings are back together with their mother (Lillette Dubey) in the house they grew up in, in Durban.
