Gone Too Soon - An Unforgettable Tribute
They certainly did as we felt the presence of all those dearly departed, in the Lyric Theatre tonight for the production of Gone Too Soon.
Performing covers from local and international artists; Joseph Clark, Timothy Moloi, Mariechan, the young talent from Born To Perform as well as the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra indulged us in true nostalgia with their voices, their style and the choice of songs.
Each artist brought their own flavour yet remained authentic in the remembrance of each and every music icon who 'left us too soon'.
With an amazing selection including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury, Brenda Fassie, Mandoza, George Michael, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Prince, Amy Winehouse, Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole, John Lennon and more, it's easy to get swept away and find the song that speaks to you. Personally, Timothy Moloi's homage to Luther Vandross "Dance with my Father" left me in tears.

With songs that got us toe-tapping and standing up to dance as well as powerful renditions that gave us goosebumps, Gone Too Soon SA is definitely a Must-See show!
